Dr. Harris is the Director of Training at the Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research. Her projects use bioinformatics approaches to examine differential gene expression changes associated with a wide variety of biological topics including antibiotic resistance, cancer treatment, and SARS infection.

Dr. Lee is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Computational Biomechanics. His research focus is on computational cardiovascular mechanics with an emphasis on cardiac remodeling and electro-mechanics.

Dr. Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Economics and a faculty affiliate of Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Global Working Group at the University of Chicago. His research and teaching interests are microeconomics, matching theory, game theory, labor economics, and family economics.

His work seeks to understand how individual differences in vascular, metabolic, and lifestyle risk factors contribute to changes in the brain’s structure and function in normal aging and in dementia.

Dr. Addie Thompson is an Associate Professor of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences. Her lab is interested in studying maize, and how different genotypes grow in different environments. using approaches ranging from quantitative genetics to phenomics to statistical and physiological modeling.

Dr. Jeffrey Freymueller is an Endowed Chair for Geology of the Solid Earth, Director of the EarthScope National Office, and Interim Department Chair of Earth and Environmental Sciences. He is an internationally recognized leader in the field of geodesy and utilizes satellites from the Global Positioning System (GPS) to make highly precise measurements of movement on Earth’s surface.
